iconomical design complete user experiences, communicating ideas through interaction with data in the most appropriate context. Meaning and value are inherent in our visualization platforms, in the balance between the editorial curation of data resources, and the empirical observation of their contents. This is a responsibility and a privilege - we hope our activities reflect this.
iconomical was founded in 2007 by Internet veterans Liz Turner and David Boyce. The business is currently a member of Amsterdam's Media Guild, located in the historic Pakhuis de Zwijger.
What's in a name?
We were delighted to discover the dictionary definition of iconomical, and thrilled to be able to register it as a .com domain. We think it's an appropriate statement of the importance of visual data analysis in critical investigation.
